File Retention

PrintScale stores files only for the time needed to complete jobs, provide downloads, and support recent work.

Current retention windows

  • Input uploads: available for up to 7 days.
  • TIFF outputs: available for up to 30 days.
  • Previews: available for up to 90 days.

Downloads

The dashboard and job status views show output availability and expiry states. Download links may stop working after the file expires, so production assets should be downloaded and archived by the user.

Expired files

When a file is expired, PrintScale may remove the stored object and hide or disable download actions. Job metadata can remain in the account for history, support, billing reconciliation, and abuse prevention.

Operational note

Cloudflare R2 lifecycle rules still need to be configured in the Cloudflare dashboard with an admin-capable token. The current R2 token used by the app is object-only and cannot create bucket lifecycle rules.
