Inch sizes are priced at the nearest A size above them — 12 × 16 in prints at the A3 price. Custom centimetre sizes follow the same rule. The price is set by the output's long side and shown before you start.

Explore the print guides01What does PrintScale do?
PrintScale enlarges photos for printing and exports TIFF, PNG and JPG. Choose an output long side in centimetres at 150, 300 or 600 DPI, or use automatic, 2× or 3× enlargement. The maximum output long side is 12,000 pixels.
02What files can I upload?
For a full upscale, upload JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB and 30 megapixels. Images above 4,000 pixels on their long side are resized before processing. The free crop preview accepts JPG, PNG and WebP up to 15 MB. TIFF and HEIC uploads are not supported.
03How much does an image cost?
Each image has a dollar price set by its print size: $2.49 for an A5 or A4 poster, $3.49 for A3, $4.99 for A2 and $6.99 for A1 at 300 DPI. At 600 DPI, A5 is $3.49, A4 $4.99 and A3 $6.99. Pay by card per image, or top up a balance: $15 adds $16 and $20 adds $23. The price is shown before you start.
04Can I try it without an account?
Yes. The free preview uses the real engine to enlarge a centre crop by 2× and adds a watermark. You can generate up to three free previews per day per IP address. Sign in to process and download a full image.
05Will an A2 selection crop my image to A2?
No. A2 sets a 59.4 cm long-side target and preserves your image’s aspect ratio. An image with A-series proportions will fit 42 × 59.4 cm. For other proportions, crop the source before upload or ask your printer about borders and trimming.
06Will it fix a blurry photograph?
Enlargement cannot guarantee recovery of missing detail. Missed focus, motion blur, compression artefacts and noise can remain visible or become more noticeable. Start with your best source and inspect the free crop preview before paying for a full image.
07Does my balance or do my files expire?
Your balance never expires. Completed files are available for three days after processing, so download and save your TIFF, PNG and JPG promptly. Anonymous preview files are temporary and are cleaned up after 24 hours.
08What if processing fails?
If an upscale fails, its price goes back to your balance automatically, including when you paid by card. Contact hello@printscale.app if a job or balance looks wrong. Payments are subject to the published refund policy.
